Toyota Hilux (KUN25R) Steering Rack Assembly

Toyota Hilux’s Steering Rack assembly oil leakage.

When Power steering pump delivers low steering oil pressure due to worn loose fan belt, damaged power steering pump or low power steering oil, steering rack gets hard while steering. Unnecessary pressure while steering cause worn oil seals inside the rack assembly. when acceleration, power steering pump delivers more oil pressure which can’t be resisted by the oil seals and gets leak from side oil seals.

Symptoms:

1. Hard steering or gets loose in acceleration
2. Steering wheel stuck in curve ways
3. Steering oil leakage

Solutions:-

1. Replace steering rack assembly under professional technician supervision. (Carelessness results airbag light ON in dash meter or either way running when steering wheel is free in straight highway)
